The baby will be here Monday September 24th!!!! Mariah Patrice will be making her arrival!
Alrighty.
I have gotten alot of what I need from members on here (at least for the first few weeks until she grows..lol) but I am still in need of wipes, shampoo, baby bath, lotion, bibs, receiving blankets and other blankets, a snowsuit, and some outfits. I also need a crib but I figure that will come in a couple of weeks or so from freecycle or something like it.
Now for those who dont know it..here is my story.
am currently 39 weeks pregnant. I just went to the dr and he told me that he couldnt deliver me right now and sent me to a blood specialist. Apparently my platelets are REALLY low 73 instead of the 140 to 400 they are suposed to be. Because I have to have a Csection the risk of my bleeding to death is a HUGE concern..so Im off for a transfusion or 10. I am nervous because they sent me to an oncologist for my blood but they assured me I dont have cancer THANK GOD!!!
I am still in need of onesies, sleepers, outfits, socks ( I didnt think of socks) a snowsuit, receiving blankets, bassinet sheets, crib sheets, diapers, wipes, lotions, baby bath.
Here is the rest of my story for those who dont know it.
Although I am only 22 years old I have had a rough life, but because of it have been able to overcome many of life's struggles. I lost my own mother when I was but 2 years old and was sent to foster care system where I lived being shuffled around until the age of 18. Since I had never experienced a stable family I allowed myself to become involved with a man who said he loved me..but love shouldnt hurt. He beat me many many times and I stayed because I thought that he was all life had to offer. After leaving I found out I was pregnant and he convinced me to come back. I believed that I could change him, but when he beat me severely although I am 8 months pregnant, I made a run for it. I am now living with a friend trying to get into housing of my own. I cant work due to a high risk pregnancy *the risk of placenta abruption, problems with my blood, severe anemia and RH negativity.

I am soo sorry to hear about your foster care situation. I sure do hate how they kick you out with nothing the minute you turn 18. My daughter was able to find tho that since she has been a foster child she can get financial aid to go to school. I know that doesn't help you now, but keep that in mind for after the baby is born and you are stable. Also please check with your local battered womens agency they often have clothing as well as housing options to help you get back on your feet. Prayers going your way.

My daughter was adopted and I have had to witness how hard the foster care system really is on a person, especially when an adoption *doesn't* take place. Bless your heart. I am sorry things have been so rough for you but I am glad your little girl will have some loving arms to live in. You absolutely have my vote. 5
