Ok, y'all here I go again. Most of you are probably getting tired of hearing my same old story. I left a very emotionally abusive husband and am attempting to start a good life for me and my son. I have definitely had my moments, my breakdowns, my heart breaks and all that goes along with starting a new life. But, I have faith that I will get there.

The real problem right now is this, when I left, I went home to my parents. I love them, and am so thankful to have them and for all that they have done. But, the fact of the matter is this, they live in a 2 bedroom mobile home. There are currently 12 of us there. So, with all the other transitions we are going through, my son and I are really struggling to adjust to this too.

That being said, we will get by! We will get strong! We just hope you will give us your stars so that we can be a little closer to getting our own space to do that in! Thank you so much for looking, and keep smiling! (more)

My wish is to take my aunt out, I really tried to find something for free that she'd might like but most of them are during my work hours. I don't want to miss work ...I have had a rough couple of weeks... Ever since my uncle passed away and my pup passed away last month. I helped pay for the headstone for my uncle and I had to pay the vet bills. So that put me way behind. My bills are paid and my mortgage is paid. This isn't a sob story to gain votes... I don't want pitty votes I want votes based on what people honestly feel. It's not a need but something I'd wish I could do on my own without help.

My aunt raised me after my mother passed away and gave up so much to take care of me. I love my aunt and I call her mom, because she is my mom no matter what. She raised me to be the man I am today without her I don't know where i would be at this moment.

Since i moved out a while back I have been trying to take her out at least once a month so she won't get bored or fall into depression because she is living alone now. I feel that being there for her is very important. She means the world to me and I hate to see her upset. After, all that has happend this past month I really want to distract her from everything. We are having family drama because of my uncles will. She and I are stuck in between.But it's affecting her more since it's her brother who passed and watching his kids bicker about money is really sickening.

I want to take my aunt to dinner and to watch batman. My aunt is a very odd older woman and I think batman would spark her interest. I think it's best to take her out of the house instead of making dinner. Parks are out of the questiondue to allergies...So I'll find a nice cheap place i can take her for dinner and if we have money left over we can get icecream or something (more)

The Grey Angel Tree Project

The community here has decided this year to do a Grey Angel Tree to focus our gift giving over the holidays on an often forgotten age group. Local help can be strained trying to help young families and children and often can not then meet the needs of our vulnerable senior population. Look for the Grey Angel Thread in the forums for more info and how to nominate a member.

"Depression alone may not be enough to cause the death of very old people, who are, after all, survivors. But when depression is accompanied by desolation, it may erode even the hardiest senior's will to live." The holidays are a time seniors often are feeling very depressed. they realise that thier lives are rapidly changing friends and family the same age are becoming in many cases fewer. Thier kids are busy with thier grandchildrena dn great grandchildren. Families often are seperated by many miles and may not be able to swing a visit to Grandma or Grandpas during these economic hard times.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to make at least 4 seniors a gift card to a local market to be able to buy themselves a meal. Often Senior meal programs do not cover holiday periods. If this wish wins the money will be used to cover 4 cards in addition to whatever funds are raised by fundraisors and chipin page (which will be set up and announced in the forums). If enough funds are raised any extra will go to make sure all on the list are adopted. Please think about donating, hosting a fundraiser, bumping the forum threads, nominating a senior here, adopting a grey angel and/or giving your stars to this wish. I will update this wish as things change. This is to have extra funds in addition to the forum raised ones to cover more than 4 families if possible.

Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.

The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week and finally has his surgery scheduled for a month from then.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

Okay, it's official. we're effectively homeless. Please guys, I may have found a place-but my husband's check will have to go for getting the rent alone and the county IS trying to help-which leaves us $300 short. I wasn't sure whether to put this in needy or greedy because I do have clothes to wear, but I need more shirts and work clothes for interviews. I figured with $40 my husband and I could go to the Goodwill and get clothes for both of us to be dressed nicely for interviews and to work when we get a job. It is almost that time! Time to register for school! In going over system requirements for the classes tonight, I found out that for one of the certification courses for the degree I have to have Microsoft Word and Power Point. I currently use Open Office, however this is not an acceptable program. Not only that, but NONE of the Windows Vista OS have this included. It has to be purchased seperately.

Luckily since I work for AT&T, I can get an INCREDIBLE discount on the product directly from Microsoft. Normal pricing for Office Home and Student is 99.99-199.99 (depending on where you get it). I can get it for 76.70. With the shipping and tax, the total comes up to around 87.00. Since I am going for Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Software Applications, this program is a must and on the list of requirements,......hence why it is in the needy catagory.

The program I am enrolling in is called BPCC FAST TRACK, for students who attended and never got to finish school for one reason or another. It is extremely fast paced with 4, 4 week sessions in each semester. That means one class is 4 weeks long then you take the final and move to another class. I am very excited! Some of you may remember Endopain, a.k.a. Inny. She has been unable to participate here much due to her endometriosis, a debilitating illness that's a lot like cancer (except it doesn't kill you). I really miss Endo, and I know I'm probably not the only one. I think it'd knock her socks off if we sent her a surprise birthday gift - a small flower arrangement and a card from all of GoN. Baby Madelynne will be one on August 20th and I am in need of a Toddler Car seat for her. Her toes are sticking out of her infant car seat so I think its time for a bigger seat sniff sniff... My baby girls growing up.
I don't have any extra funds to get one right now as my H keeps getting his hours at Walmart cut even though hes a manager and I may have a temporary pay cut due to our States budget crisis at a loss of 500 a month.
I've tried finding one on Craigslist and Freecycle but so far theres just been alot of Infant seats and no Toddler ones. I also checked with the hospitals car seat program but they only help with infant seats. Help me keep my little one safe.
I edited my wish amount as I found a cheaper Car Seat that has good reviews. Since we have to change cars alot I want something that is easy to move around and not too heavy. Although this one doesn't have alot of extras it seems like it'll be safe.[ link ]

There is an ongoing problem in River Blossom Hills. Homelessness.

Sometimes Sim homelessness is caused by lack of skills to move up to the next level of employment. Sometimes its caused by choosing the wrong chance card and getting fired. Sometimes its caused when a Sim wife comes home and finds her husband is cheating on her with their maid. Sometimes Sims cannot afford a maid and they get gross little flies and roaches in their house, their kids and pets get taken away, and they just hit rock bottom. Anyway that homelessness hits, its devestating.

But, GON, as a community can help! Sims have an amazing opportunity to rent brand new apartments at amazingly cheap prices! No longer will a Sim husband have to choose between his wife and his maid! He can simply live in his house with his wife and visit his maid in her apartment across town. The apartments even come equipped with Murphy Beds and cool Walk In Closets! Sims will be able to visit their resident witch and cast a spell on someone they don't like (bee attacks, natural disaters.... or should I say "supernatural disasters".. muah ha ha). They can live in a fancy penthouse, an overcrowded townhouse, a mobile home.... no longer will Sims need to be on the streets begging for extra Simoleons to buy an "expresso".

We can do this, GON! We can provide low cost housing for unfortunate Sims who have no other option. (Shhh.... yes, I know, there is another option. However, sometimes the Sims creator is just to lazy to build a new house or even to pick one out of the bin, remodel it and furnish it.)

So vote for me to be able to buy Sims 2 Apartment Life today! I promise, I will still come in and chat, just maybe not for the first three or four days lol.

In summary- Its the last game I need for my collection, it comes out August 27th, and I always told you I wasn't above begging lol.

Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) are trained to check and install carseats, and also to teach parents the proper use of their child restraints. I am a 43 year disabled old father of 3, two girls 11 & 13 and a boy who is 15 this year. ear. I attempted to save some of my stimulus package money from Uncle SAM for their school clothing but due to the rise in cost of everything this year ended up spending it on food and household supplies over the course of the summer break. I am asking for help in clothing them for the up coming school year, I am more than happy to accept money but am willing to take used clothing. The girls are sizes 14 girls or 2/4 in juniors and large in womens or size 16. The boy is size 30, 30 in pants and large or 42/44 in shirts. I am open to any ideas that will help also. I have begged all of the local resources for help and had no luck, I do not know what else to do and feel this is my last option. Please help my children!

UPDATE!!! Chasity was so kind as to give me info on another site like this one, and I put the same wish there. To my total amazement I've already received help with cloths for the girls.
