More power to you! Prescriptions are horribly overpriced. My son's are $400+ each month, so I sympathize in that respect. All the best wishes for you!

My doctor does know, and wants me to refill them however the clinic charges me to go see the doctor to get a refill, so until I can pay to go see him and get the blood work and labs done, I cant get a refill prescription, like I said, the money for the pills them selves are not the problem, between the wallmart generic (4 dollar) plan and the companies, I can figure that part out, it is getting the actual prescription to get filled that is the problem.

Does your doctor know you haven't been taking your antidepressants? That is not safe for your to stop abruptly. I hope the best for you and your husband. On your antidepressants go to the web site of who manufactures them. They normally have programs that can get you your prescription filled for 3 months at no charge. Good luck.

thanks everyone for the kind comments, and the prescriptions are not the biggest worry, it is the doctor appointment and the lab work and tests they have to do, the prescriptions are not nearly as much as that part! LOL

Best of luck with your wish. I can't imagine how tough it must be to know that you need medical help and be unable to afford it due to insurance problems. Once you are able to get the scrips you should definitely look into the assistance programs offered by the major pharm companies.

I wish you the best. I understand about the insurance issues but please check into the $4 prescriptions at Walmart and Target or the prescription assistance programs.
I'm not sure though what good the prescription assistance is if someone can't afford to go to the doc to get the dang prescription though.

Nothing selfish about your wish. i have a Thyroid problem and I am also on antidepressents! I just wanted to let you know that if you get the generic for the thyroid meds at Walmart it is only $4. Some of the anti depressents are the same way- not all of them but some are... Good luck!! NO ONE with a medical problem should go untreated!! NO ONE!!

You've got my vote Eve! Good luck. The medical crisis in the US is so messed up! If you were a murderer and in jail, you wouldn't have a problem getting your meds!
