Prayers & Hope for Tammy - 2nd Wish
I am re-submitting this wish after it being suggested to me to do so by a couple of people.
Even if the wish does not win - I do hope those who have been so generous to others will make their donations to this family directly to the Fund at the end of this wish. UPDATE: ON May 1, Tammy returned to school! From what I understand it has been great and she walked into her classroom and very cheerfully stated 'Hi everybody!' The one thing that seems to have come from all of this is this previously quite child has really opened up. It sounds like she is as happy to be back as everyone is to have her!
In the wee hours of March 3rd, 2007 there was a tragic house fire in our community . . . . The fire was a result of a domestic dispute between Chau Nguyen and her ex-husband. It is believed that he got upset over talk of Chau wanting to move to NY and of course take the children. At about 4am, Chau woke to a strange noise, the sloshing of gasoline being spread throughout the home. She managed to take one lighter from her ex-husband before fleeing the house for help as he had cut the phone lines!
He proceded to set fire to the house after locking her out of the home. Killing not only himself but Chau's mother, and their 9 yr old son. By some miracle, 8 yr old Tammy survived but was burnt on over 80% of her body with 3rd degree burns to her face and hands.
Barely 48 hours later Tammy was flown to Shrinner's Children's Medical Center in Cinn. Ohio to their pedicatric burn unit. 9 surgeries later Tammy was able to come home on April 19th.
Our school has been collecting soda tabs to donate to Shrinner's, at last count we already collected over 90,000 tabs, and we are also doing a one time aluminum can drive this month. Our Cub Scouts held a bake sale at a local store and we were able to collect just over $1600 to put into the fund that was set up for Tammy.

There have been so many comments and votes - I've really tried to keep up but just haven't been able to respond to each of you seperately! Thank you all again for your support! I never dreamed that I'd have a winning wish - wow! I did this one in hopes that some of those who were out there making donations would maybe contact the bank and donate there.

It looks like Tammy is on on the winners list. I found your wish last week and It broke my heart. I am so glad you resubmitted and are winning. I hope Tammy gets all that she needs in life and never has to suffer again. Children are so innocent, They should never have to suffer at the hands of an adult. Especially an adult that is supposed to love them.

I am glad since I am loosing it was to this wish. I posted my wish on naughty so I wouldnt compete against anyone that would make me feel guilty. But I am so glad again to lose to Tammy. I am having a really rough time but God bless her heart My kids are healthy and I am so thankful to that and I will be praying for her . Oh and yeah my 5 is right here. I totally understand the ordeal of having a child burned.My 5 year old son at the age of 1 and a half was burned by a bottle rocket across his back region and neck area.they said he was 52% burned by third degree burns.he received skin graphs and blood transfusions.I don't know where you are but here in Indiana there is a group called The Peoples Burn foundation. they help families that are burn victims or the burn victims themself.My son attends the burn camp every summer free of charge.It is free for everyone!They provide counseling for the victim,for the family and whoever else.It is a great group.please look into it to see if they have a local unit to u
