OK !
I guess I'll give you the lQQk back and say Boo Hoo to you too !
True there are some companies that do not require it. BUT the companies that are interested in hiring my husband with better pay and benefits DO require it. The one that he would love to go with offer 6 paid holidays , paid vacation , eye/dental/health ( $55 a week) , 401K , etc. as well as .39 cpm. At this company he works for currently , he has eye/dental/health for $100 a week. No 401K options , no paid holidays and well he has been there for almost two years and cannot afford to take a vacation.
Only due to the fact of no paid vacation means no money for a week. And when he is the only one working AND most times the checks are about $400 a week. With bills that total roughly $1400 a month. There is NO chance way to work in a week without pay on purpose. This company he makes 33 cpm and has almost 9 years driving experience. He is sooo restricted now with this company as to what he can haul. He gets passed up for a lot of loads due to not having it.
He can't haul batteries = hazmat.
Cleaning solutions = hazmat.
And so on , and his company hauls quite a bit of that. Now he is stuck to paper goods primarily and there isn't many loads , couple that without hazmat. And he's making less and less as the weeks roll on.
And simply enough , a site to wish for a wish. I did just that. With a hazmat endorsement he would be able to haul more , make more and put us in a better financial situation. What the hell could be wrong with that ? (more)
Thanks to all that voted! I know it wont win but thats ok its the thought that counts and i appreciate it
5***** Good Luck!
